SafeGuard usage scenarios and recommended practices
“SafeGuard” will automatically monitor the phone’s usage to determine whether the user may have an abnormal situation or accident.
Whenever the user operates the phone (such as unlocking or switching screens), the system will automatically reset the countdown timer.
If the countdown ends, there will be a 60-second buffer period.,If your phone screen is off,A “I’m safe” page will appear.Pressing “I’m safe” will cancel the emergency alert. If your phone screen happens to be on another app, the system will play an alarm sound and there will still be a 60-second buffer period. You can stop the alarm by turning off the screen and unlocking your phone again.
Example: You set it to 4 hoursAfter 2 hours, if you pick up your phone to reply on social media, the countdown timer you set will reset to 4 hours. If you don’t operate your phone for the entire 4 hours, a “I’m safe” page will appear and an alarm sound will play. If you don’t press “I’m safe” within 60 seconds, the systemwillstart theemergencyalertprocess.
You can set different protection durations according to your actual situation, making it suitable for various daily and special scenarios.
- Those who are home alone:You can set the time period when you are home alone. If there is no phone activity during this period, the system will automatically notify your preset emergency contact.
- Example: Your family members all go out for work, and you are home alone for about 9 hours. Your nap time is about 2 hours, so you can set the timer to 3 hours. If you don’t use your phone for 3 hours, it will enter the emergency process.
- Those who work alone or in high-risk places:It is recommended to set the protection period to match your working hours or slightly longer than your next break time. If there is no phone activity during this period, the system will automatically activate the SOS mechanism.
- Example: If you take a break every 4 hours at work, you can set it to 5 hours.
- Hiking, outdoor activities, night jogging:You can set the protection duration according to your planned return time. If an accident happens on the way and there is no phone activity, the system will automatically trigger an emergency alert to protect your personal safety.
- Example: If you have a habit of going out for a morning jog and you’re usually out for about 2 hours, you can set it to 1 hour.
- Dealing with unsafe invitations / dinner appointments:You can pre-set a leaving time as the maximum protection limit. If you do not use your phone beyond that time, the system will automatically send an SOS notification.
- Example: You might decide to go out with a new friend. If you plan to be out for 4 hours, you can set it to 2 hours.
- Long-term continuous protection needs:For example, if you stay at home on a day off, you can also set an extra-long protection time, such as 16 hours, to provide stable all-day protection.
- Example: On your day off, you might sleep for more than 12 hours and not use your phone after waking up. You can set it to 14 hours.
Crash Protection Usage Recommendations
Crash Protection uses your location and G-force sensor data to calculate your current speed and detect any impact. It applies multiple logic checks to determine whether an accident has occurred. If an accident is detected, an “I’m safe” page will appear.alertprocess.
- Recommended Activation Timing:Turn it on when you go out, and manually turn it off after you arrive at your destination to save power and avoid false alarms.
- Recommended Phone Placement:Keep your phone in your pocket or somewhere on your body. If you place it in a bag or storage space, the impact detection may be less effective.
- If impact detection fails:If an impact is not detected due to phone placement, the system will use a “stillness score calculation” mechanism to detect long periods of no touch and no movement, and automatically trigger the emergency alert process.
- You can turn it on whenever you go out. Whether you are driving or not, it is suitable for walking, jogging, hiking, and other outdoor activities、.
